The construction of St Colman's Cathedral began in 1868 and took 47 years to complete, has a total of 42 bells, the largest being 200 feet above ground and weighs over 3 tons. When the bells toll it can be heard throughout the harbor town of Cobh.
I love the neo-gothic architecture of the Churches and Cathedrals in Ireland. This one overlooks the harbor in Cobh, the final port of call before the ill fated Titanic.
I love gothic architecture and this beautiful wooden door with iron features and intricate carvings is really beautiful.
